- Audience A – (youth 10-14 year olds and parents 30-45)
For “audience A” the social media platforms they should target are Tik Tok, Facebook, and Instagram. Young children like Luca use Tik Tok daily as they prefer content that’s visual and interactive. “Visuals get 94% more views than text-based information” (Briscoe, The Power of Visuals (W25).pdf, Slide 3). Furthermore, with today’s day and age and children being so accustomed to short form content, it is the most effective way to reach our audience and get our message across. We will be able to connect with them though reels, stories and short form videos to grab their attention.
We will use Facebook to speak to the parents of our potential tournament players and motivate them to sign their kids up for the tournament. We will use an empathetic, and supportive tone of voice to highlight Hoop Heros overall objective which is to support and inspire the youth and give back to the community. Facebook is the most ideal platform to reach our target audience of parents ages (30-45) – as seen in the chart above
- Audience B – (Local and Community Advocates) (40-60)
In order to engage with mature local community advocates we will prioritize Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook is the most popular platform among audiences 45+ and is ultimately made up of local community groups and advocates.
- For audience B we will target Instagram and Facebook. As viewed in the chart above, Facebook is the most efficient way to reach our target demographic of gen X’s – as mentioned in our persona these are community leaders, educators and local business owners of ages 40-60. Furthermore, Facebook is.a very localized platform that focuses on community groups, neighborhood watches, marketplace, and business owners. People often share something they find relatable, emotional, invested in or connected to. This is the perfect platform to reach our target audience B. The most effective way to reach them second to Facebook is Instagram. Through both platforms we will speak to our target audience effectively and deliver to them the necessary content through platforms they already know and love.
